Time For Tennis Mocktail

This is our own non-alcoholic take on the traditional cocktail served with strawberries and cream at a particular tennis competition each summer. And it contains a very surprising ingredient...

…balsamic vinegar??!! Yes, that’s right as strange as it sounds you have to trust us that this totally works. It’s got so much sweetness to it and works with strawberries and cucumber so…have we sold it yet?

Ingredients

For The Mocktail

  • 200ml Slimline Tonic
  • 400ml Sugar Free Lemonade
  • 50ml Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Large Orange
  • 200g strawberries
  • 1 Lime
  • Ice
  • Fresh Mint (to serve)

Instructions

Step 1:

Grab yourself a large jug and pop some of the ice in the bottom. Remove the stems from the strawberries and chop them into quarters or slices and add them to the jug.

Next, take your orange and lime and slice them into thin slices and add them to the jug.

Step 2:

Using a vegetable peeler make long strips of cucumber to add to the mix. If you save some pieces they look really cool arranged in wavy curls on a cocktail stick and used as a garnish.

Finally, you can now add your lemonade, tonic and balsamic. Using a chopstick or similar stir everything well to fully combine.

Step 3:

Add some ice to highball glasses and pour in your lovely mocktail mixture. Garnish with strawberry or orange slices plus a wavy cucumber cocktail stick stirrer and some mint leaves.
