5. The Raw Food Diet 🤮

What is it?

The name says it all really… for this diet you can only eat raw food that hasn’t been heated above 48 °C. So, raw fruit and veg, grains like buckwheat, nuts and seeds.

Who does it?

The raw diet has a notable celebrity following.

Demi Moore, Gisele Bündchen and Scarlett Johansson are just a few of the famous faces that have taken to eating like rabbits for health and weight reasons!

4. The Juice Diet 😷

What is it?

We’ve all heard of this one, right? Where you can only consume whizzed up fruit and veg in order to cleanse. My body is a temple and all that…

Who does it?

Salma Hayek and Blake Lively have both been known to dabble in the art of juicing.

3. The Keto Diet 😷

What is it?

The Keto(genic) diet is a little scientific for us… but essentially it is a low-carb, moderate-protein, and high-fat diet. Cutting down on carbs leads to the body falling into a metabolic state of ‘ketosis’, which is where, rather than burning sugar for energy, the body starts burning fat causing you to lose weight.

Who does it?

Halle Berry, Vanessa Hudgens and Kourtney Kardashian are all Keto fanatics. As Hudgens puts it ‘I think that we’ve been brainwashed to think that fat is bad, but really, it’s what going to make you feel fuller longer.’

2. The Paleo Diet 😌

What is it?

The Paleo diet takes things back to the VERY basics. It consists of only eating foods that were available during the Stone Age. So, the rule is, if cavemen couldn’t eat it, neither can you!

It’s time to wave processed pasta goodbye and stock up on fresh fruit, veg, eggs, meat, fish, nuts and seeds.

Who does it?

Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Biel, Megan Fox and Uma Thurman are all said to be channeling their inner caveman.

1. The Vegan Diet 😌

What is it?

This last one doesn’t need much explaining! Most of us are aware of the hugely popular vegan diet, which involves abstaining from any animal products, whether that be meat and fish, or eggs and dairy products, like cheese… unfortunately 🙁

Who does it?  Veganism has become particularly popular within the world of celebrity.

Notable veganista’s include Miley Cyrus, Arianna Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Silverstone and Anne Hathaway… all of whom are looking pretty darn good for it.

Vegan Mac & Cheese Recipe

You will need:

  • 1tbs dairy-free margarine
  • 1 tbs flour
  • 250g pasta
  • 250g vegan mozzarella
  • 450ml non-dairy milk – unsweetened almond or soya milk
  • Sprinkle of nutmeg
  • salt and pepper to taste

STEP 1: Cook your pasta macaroni is a classic but big tubes work well too.

STEP 2: Melt the DF marge and add flour, salt & pepper and nutmeg.

STEP 3: Slowly pour in the milk and let the mix bubble away.

STEP 4: Turn off the heat and mix in the pasta and cheese (sprinkling some on top).

STEP 5: Bake on 180°C for 20 minutes. Serve warm with a salad.
